You’ll want to thread your machine with a strong thread, preferably one that is recommended for use with Sunbrella® Marine Grade Fabric. If you have a home machine, the largest size we suggest using is a V-69 thread, but if you have a heavy-duty machine, try a V-92.

Can you sew canvas with a regular sewing machine?

Canvas can be sewn with just any sewing machine if it is only an occasional task. You should use a heavy-duty domestic machine made of metal or a professional sewing machine if you intend to regularly sew this fabric.
